CPES2017, Canada’s premier conference and trade show exhibition for printable, flexible and wearable electronics (PE), takes place May 24-26 at Centennial College’s new Conference Centre in Toronto.
We expect over 100 organizations and 200 attendees, with industry-leading speakers and keynotes from around the world. This will of course include many of our 80 CPEIA member organizations. CPES2017 is the place for PE industrial companies, academics and end-users alike to meet and discuss how they can work together to develop new products and applications.
In addition to two days of technical programming, CPES2017 will feature a third day of business programming on May 26 in various technical subjects, as well as mentoring sessions for startup companies.
Once again, our agenda will cover the broad spectrum of PE technologies and the value chain required to bring innovative products and applications to market.
- 2D large area and 3D printable electronics
- Advances in inks, pastes, substrates, manufacturing methods
- Advances in flexible electronics
- Advances in wearable electronics
- Advances in components such as sensors, batteries, lights, displays antennas and memory.
- Hybrid electronics that connect printable and flexible electronics with integrated circuits or traditional electronics
Applications in key end-use applications will be featured in:
- Intelligent Packaging
- Intelligent Buildings
- Aerospace and Defence
- Health and Wellness and Wearables
Companies active in these end use sectors should attend CPES2017 to meet with the innovative tech companies that are developing new applications relevant to their market space.
Highlights from 2016
“Printed Electronics is an emerging industry with Canadian businesses having the potential to becoming global leaders. CPEIA provides a much needed platform that facilitates collaborations between companies and organizations to help share resources and insights to bring innovations to the market. I’m very grateful to Peter and his team for their efforts in making CPEIA a bridge that bring ideas to life.”
~Tony Chahine, CEO, Myant & Co., CPES speaker, tabletop exhibitor, Innovation Award winner
“My brain is literally on fire with all I heard this morning. Today gave me a very good understanding about where the printable and flexible electronics market is headed. CPES is bringing together the innovators within the PE world to share learnings and collaborate on the next generation of technology. What I found interesting is the heterogeneous backgrounds of everyone here – it’s a wealthy environment information-wise to be here.”
~ Mounir Zok, Senior Technologist, U.S. Olympic Committee, CPES keynote speaker
“CPES had a gigantic focus on the wearable tech industry and industry collaborators, which is not something I have seen before in Canada. We had a lot of really impressive talks from people working in textiles – not just academics, but at an industrial level too, to help students and academics understand this market in a practical level. It’s not just a story about what’s in a lab.”
~Nupur Maheshwari, University of Waterloo nanotechnology Masters student in conductive fabrics, CPES academic poster
